Shon To all Single Drop Drivers: All load with glass over 96" high that can be belly loaded must be. All sling glass regardless of size, must have end caps and they must be securely tied. If you have questions about belly loading please contact Jerry or myself. We will go over how to belly load with you at the office. This is something best explained in person. To all SlingPak Drivers: We have a problem with the cardboard corner board cutting the tarps. The end cap is designed to go over the top of the cardboard. After speaking with several drivers concerning this, they say they are putting the corner board on top of the end cap to keep from dragging it off when tarping and untarping. The end caps have eyelets on them so they can be tied off. The other way to avoid this is to dull the corner of the board so it doesn't cut the tarp. |

Safety Warmer weather is approaching, this means the kids will be out and driving more now. Be sure to be extra alert. Iowa raised their speeding fines. $10.00 to $100.00 for speeding not more than 10MPH over. $40.00 to $200.00 for Speed greater than 10 but less than 20MPH over. For speeding in excess of 20MPH over the speed limit, the fine went from $60.00 to $200.00 plus $25.00 for every mile per hour over. Be extra careful using cell phones when driving. Most states are now ticketing for talking while in motion unless a headset or hands free device is in use. Please double check your permit books. Make sure all permits are in order and your annual inspection is up to date. To get an inspection see Dan Roe at the tractor shop. Do not use the 407 Highway around Toronto, Ont. It is a toll road and a transponder is needed to travel it because there are no manned toll booths. You WILL get a ticket if you use this roadway. The company safety rating has improved but we still have a lot of room for improvement. We appreciate those that have put forth an effort, especially keeping logs correct and up to date. Those that are still lacking need to do their part in improving the company rating. Oregon requires that we pay tax on all miles through or to that state. From now on we need odometer readings on your trip sheet entering and leaving Oregon. FeedBack Wanted While this is a small newsletter, I would like some feed back on the new format.
